LIGHTS, CAMERAS, AUTUMN! Singapore’s Chinatown Mid-Autumn Festival 2015 is Back

Get your cameras out and your selfie arm ready! Chinatown will be celebrating the much anticipated Mid-Autumn festivities—and the streets will be extravagantly lit up again with colourful lightings, bazaars selling festival goodies, carnival lantern walks, dragon dances and much more.

Held annually at the People’s Park Complex (1 Park Road, Singapore 059108) and Kreta Ayer Square, admission is FREE. It’s a feast for your eyes you can’t miss in the coming week, and a truly rich cultural Chinese celebration. More event details here: www.chinatownfestivals.sg

MONDAY, SEPTEMBER 21

  • Festive Bazaar and Carnival, People’s Park Complex @ 11:00am – Shop for traditional Mid-Autumn Festival goodies such as mooncakes and lanterns.
  • Nightly Stage Shows, Kreta Ayer Square @ 8:00pm – Catch traditional Chinese cultural performances, including music and dance performances by local entertainers and Chinese troupes

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22

  • Festive Bazaar and Carnival, People’s Park Complex @ 11:00am – Shop for traditional Mid-Autumn Festival goodies such as mooncakes and lanterns.

  • Mid-Autumn Festival 2015 – Back To The 60s, Pagoda Street @ 7:30pm – This fashion show features fashion from the 60s, with models strutting down the makeshift runway along Pagoda Street. Those dressed in 60s attire could walk away with special gifts!
  • Nightly Stage Shows, Kreta Ayer Square @ 8:00pm – Catch traditional Chinese cultural performances, including music and dance performances by local entertainers and Chinese troupes

SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 27

  • Festive Bazaar and Carnival, People’s Park Complex @ 11:00am – Shop for traditional Mid-Autumn Festival goodies such as mooncakes and lanterns.
  • Mass Lantern Walk, Kreta Ayer Square @ 7:00pm – 3000 participants will gather at Kreta Ayer Square to walk around Chinatown with lanterns in tow. Catch performances by dragon dance troups and more along the way.
  • Nightly Stage Shows, Kreta Ayer Square @ 8:00pm – Catch traditional Chinese cultural performances, including music and dance performances by local entertainers and Chinese troupes
