An oldie but a goodie, Universal Studios is the perfect escape for big and little kids alike. Not only are there some spectacular rides, but there are plenty of interactive shows, treasure hunts, fireworks and all sorts of games to keep the family entertained. Universal Studios has a plethora of restaurants, cafes and stores to keep kids busy, and the real highlight this year might just be the Jurassic World park. Hot on the heels of the new movie, kids can get up close and personal with dinosaurs. Tickets cost S$74 for adults and S$34 for children up to 11 years.
Unique to Singapore, the Night Safari is one of the best attractions for the whole family in Singapore. Children can get up close and personal with tigers, lions and all other sorts of animals as they travel through their nocturnal landscape. The safari takes place on a tram and traverses several landscapes, such as the Himalayas and equatorial Africa. Tickets cost S$32 for adults and S$21 for children.
If staying outside isn’t quite what you had in mind, then escaping into the air-conditioned sanctuary of the toy museum may be just the tonic. Featuring over 3,000 new and vintage toys from all over the world, the museum is the largest of its kind in Southeast Asia. Grown-ups can also get stuck in here, thanks to the museum’s collection of comics and retro paraphernalia. Tickets cost S$15 for adults and S$7.50 for children up to 12 years old.
If you prefer to focus more on education this summer, then why not consider a summer camp? All Hands Together is one of the most famous children’s camps in Singapore, offering a multi-sensory experience that builds on life skills and social interaction. BOUNCE is a camp focused on activities over trampolining. Entirely safe and extremely good fun, this camp boosts learning, social skills whilst allowing kids to get their dose of exercise.

Singapore has some excellent theatre and musical choices this summer. From Cirque du Soleil’s Kooza, which combines acrobatics and clowns, located right next to Marina Bay Sands to A Dream Is A Wish by Disney. This show combines all the favorites from Disney’s best loved movies, including songs and characters, in a musical extravaganza that will even delight teenagers.
